Art is to express,
What?
we will see it later…

But
what does it mean to express?

All of us are able to communicate our thought with different tools:
the eyes,
the mouth,
the tongue,
the gestures…
they are only some existing tools for the manifold forms of languages.
We can singly use them or we can make an interaction between them.
We can communicate something only through eyes or only with gestures or words solo…
but
It’s very dangerous to use just one type of language because it will be more far away from our thought…

Only a deeper knowledge of a determined language can allow us to fix and to express deeply our thoughts and feelings… and in the same time to emotion.

he same poetry is written in two different languages.
When we ignore the language’s rules
we can’t have the same emotion.

This doesn’t mean that we have an emotion only when “we understand” a language….
a sunset…
a whirr (birds singing)…
we don’t essentially have to understand them to have an emotion…
but these are a “read-only” languages.

Before to communicate something in “whirr language”
we should analyse the language
we should study the rules
the grammar
the syntax …in one word:
we should learn the technique.
Every form of language has a technique.

The real artist’s job is to explore these forms of language,
as the “whirr language ” and many others…
The real artist should explore the unknown forms of languages, he should study the grammar and the syntax.
The real artist – the language explorer – should reporting to us what he has discovered
through his research, through his art-works.

The real artist should have a deep knowledge and awareness of the language (a good technique),
He should communicate, through his art-work, what He can see and feel
and
it means to make us more sensitive to what we normally pay no attention….

The language is not only English
Italian
or the language of the gestures
or the colours…
There are so many different types of other languages:

Shoes language
We can consciously or unconsciously communicate our thought wearing different type of shoes
A good shoemaker can easily read this “form of language”.
A good shoemaker will never wear shoes just because are “fashion”…

Trees language
The garden can easily understand the health of a tree trough the colour of the leaves, from the colour of the bark etc… He will take care of the plant
A good gardener will never cut a tree for a garage…

How many other languages do you know?

It is very difficult to be sensitive to “unknown languages”
but
when
through art
we will have a deeper knowledge of the different forms of languages…
we will live in a more sensitive society
and
we will live undoubtedly much better.

But
attention.
Not all the art is the mirror of this exploration.
There is some art just for artists,
there is some art that is an expression of a pure mental illness,
there is some fashion-art,
there is a “false-art”…
far away from a “honest soul”… (and far away from this blog)

And as Bruno Munari has written:
“until when art is not sensitive to the life problems only few people will be interested about art”.
