Ogni strumento ha il suo limite:
posso disegnare con lo strumento-penna su un foglio ma non su un muro.
Un limite dello strumento-penna è il tipo di supporto. Ma ce ne sono tanti altri…
Un limite può essere in comune a diversi strumenti:
una muro posso dipingerlo con un pennello o con un rullo o con una bomboletta spray, ecc..
Ma qual è il migliore strumento per dipingere quel determinato muro?
Se è la mia prima volta, faccio delle prove.
Se sono un esperto, saprò già qual’è lo strumento migliore.
Qual’è il migliore strumento per comunicare un pensiero?
L’artista esplora e cerca i nuovi strumenti della comunicazione.
Spesso con le sue scoperte-opere ci comunica poco e niente, ma gli esperimenti sono indispensabili per portare avanti un’evoluzione.
Ognuno di noi dovrebbe ricercare il suo “strumento” migliore per comunicare il proprio pensiero.

I futuristi hanno esplorato per anni lo strumento-pittura cercando di esprimere il concetto di velocità in un dipinto:
cercare di esprimere il concetto di movimento su un supporto che è fermo è proprio una bella scommessa eh?!
Forse il limite stesso dello strumento-pittura.
Poco più tardi, con l’invenzione dello strumento-cinema, esprimere lo stesso concetto diventerà molto più facile ed efficace.
Nuovi concetti, che la pittura non potrà mai esprimere, vengono esplorati con lo strumento-cinema.

Each instrument has it’s limits:
I can draw with the pen “tool” on a sheet of paper but not on a wall.
The materials are limiting the use of the pen as a tool. But there are also many other limits…
A limit may be common to different tools:
a wall can be painted with a brush or a roller or a spray etc etc…
What is the best way to paint that particular wall?
If it is my first time, I do some testing.
If I m an expert, I already know what the best tool is.
Then.
What is the best way to communicate a thought?
The artist explores and seeks new tools of communication.
Often his art-works don’t communicate any thought, but experiments are essential for an evolution.
Each of us should seek the best “tool” to communicate our thoughts.

Futurism explored for years the tool-painting trying to express the concept of speed in paintings.
Try to express the concept of movement on a static material is a good bet?
Perhaps
it is the limit of the painting.
Later, the invention of the cinema as a media alowed to express the same concept more easily and efficiently.
New concepts, that painting can never express, are explored with the cinema as a tool..
