fare arte!

This artwork made by Gianni Pettena seem to be perfect for showing the meaning of this blog:
Observing the surrounds from different points of view can change the perception of the reality.
Among the endless possible points of view, we can find the one more near to the beauty:
that is to make art!

This is quite a very good demonstration that we don’t see just with our eyes, but also with our brain.
These pictures help us to remember that seeing is one thing and looking is another…
Have you ever seen a collection of pictures taken at the same place, but at different times of the day and along the year? Some of them really look like they were taken at several different places - but our brain sees the same place in all of them.
Can we be cheated by our own eyes?
Our sense of beauty, our sense of art, where does it come from? Our eyes? Our brain? Our soul?
(Sorry for so many questions)

Questions are always so good!
I don’t have any answer but I think “our sense of art” can come from both:
eyes
+
brain
+
soul
+
*something else (I don’t know yet what. i ve to think more about that…
yes,
of course we can be cheated by our own eyes,
“Art and Illusion. A Study in the Psychology of Pictorial Representation” by Ernst Gombrich. it is avery good book about that.
