Photography can also be a way of re-interpretation the reality, depending on the details we choose, the position and angle of the camera, the light conditions… Some pictures are really different ways of looking and seeing things around us: the photographer’s personal choice not only ‘freezes’ a momentary piece of reality, but also interprets it.
Nevertheless, I guess paiting is definitely a more free and powerful re-interpretation tool.

Oppure, dove metteresti tu le possibilità di modellazione 3d e produzione di immagini fotorealistiche? Di certo non è esattamente pittura, ma nemmeno troppo lontano dalla fotografia…

I think is important to define the world “photography”
What it means?
It’s true.. photography is not only ‘freezes’ a momentary piece of reality… but maybe this is the “soul” photography.
We can create a set
We can use digital photos
We can use Photoshop
We can create images…that looks like a photo… but all of this
Is it taking a photo or making images?
The borderline between taking a photo and making a picture is very difficult now days to define… I will try to make an answer with more sense next days…

Beh
questo è un altro argomento molto interessante.
Ma è bene definire la parola fotografare.
Cosa si intende per fotografare?
Forse la più grande differenza tra pittura e fotografia”tradizionale” (non mi viene ora un termine migliore di tradizionale)
è
che la fotografia”tradizionale” cattura un momento,
un istante irripetibile,
troppo veloce per essere rappresentato con la pittura…
C’è chi non considera fotografia addirittura la fotografia digitale.
L’immagine manipolata è fare fotografia?
Manipolare le foto con photoshop crea una fotografia?
È lo stesso che avviene in camera oscura?
Sviluppare la foto con dei filtri particolari e con dei tempi di sviluppo diversi… è una manipolazione?
È fotografare?
Creare un set e poi fotografarlo è fare fotografia?
Sono dei limiti molto variabili e sottili…
appena ho un pò di tempo cercherò di pensarci su un po’ di più e dare una risposta più sensata
